Bruno the sweetest 9 month old American bulldog.
Kettering, Northamptonshire4 months

Bruno is a pedigree American bulldog, 100% not an XL if that worries anyone. He is a slim and tall build.
He is not neutered, so he is a boisterous boy at times, he mounts when he first meets women but not men or children. He has done to me a few times but never to my daughter (toddler) and when he's been around you he doesn't do it anymore but abut he just needs neutered bless him and he's be the most perfect little boy ever. He needs a home committed enough to get him neutered and he'll be the happiest boy in the happiest home.
He is amazing with children (he plays with my toddler) and he gets on with cats and other dogs. There is not a single aggressive or bad bone in this body.
He is truly so full of love. He is ALWAYS up for a cuddle! He doesn't realise his size... He thinks he's a lap dog haha!
This boy is wholeheartedly everything a big dog lover would ever want in a big dog!
I know it all sounds too good to be true but he's had a rough start to life we are just looking for a loving, committed and stable family as he's been let down by a family that he thought would be forever.
Bruno's story : Bruno was one of four in a friend of a friends bitch's litter. We heard about the situation and we took him in at around 12 weeks due to the mother of the litters decreasing health. The poor girl wasn't coping well with the babies and was worryingly loosing weight rapidly, it was shocking to see her so skinny. It was cheep, unprepared and immature breading on the owners behalf. At this point (when they was 12 weeks) they had only sold two of the four puppies and they needed them gone for the mums health so we stepped in and helped out.
The original plan was to find him a home in our care but we fell in love with him and he stayed with us for 2 months. But we soon realised that in our frantic, unprepared stepping in, we really was not prepared or suited to raise a puppy. We had no idea on how to raise a puppy we just wanted to help out, and with having a 1 year old and my partner working nights we wasn't giving him all the time and energy this poor boy clearly needed.
So we made the conscious decision to find him his new forever home. And a family with three other big dogs and four kids came up and we thought that was the perfect home for him. They had whittled the price down to less than half the price we was looking for, and we was only looking for £150. But the money really didn't matter we just wanted bro give him his forever home so agreed and thought nothing of it.
They came to pick him up and he settled in well as it seemed with the updates they sent us and we was really happy with it. We seen in pictures they they had also got two new smaller puppies after having him, concerned us slightly but if Bruno was happy we was.
Three months later they are telling us they are going to put Bruno in a kennel because they don't want him anymore. When asked why over message she claimed he 'attacked' her.
DONT WORRY! He didn't. It was excuses.
However over the phone she then claimed that he pushed her over on attempt to hump her and it scared her. As true as that may be, this lady was well aware that he needed neutered and promised it would be sorted for him. He also tried to mount her when she came to pick him up, so it shouldn't have surprised her after knowing he does that and he needs neutered. And believe it or not she claimed on messages it happened the day before she messaged me however on the phone said he had been in the garden for a week because of it. That's when we knew something dodgy was going on.
In fear of him being put in a kennel and possibly being put down because of her claims we said we'll happily have him back here. That must have been what she wanted because she wouldn't have had us as involved as she was.
After we said we'd have him, She then admitted that a month after having him in their home, Bruno had been attacked in their care by one of their older dogs (she did add bruno didn't even try to fight back) so she was warning us of all the scars on his legs. It was heartbreaking to hear.
They said that they got rid of the dog that attacked Bruno (you'd think they'd get rid of the new dog rather then the one they've had for years if they didn't get on) and then added two new puppies into the mix when they got rid of it.
The night before Bruno came back to us, the lady also added that one of her four cats was going into labour. How convenient.
It seemed with that family it was an out with the old in with the new mindset, which is absolutely cruel to do with animals.
They also demanded we payed for him back if we wanted him plus petrol money. Which was only £70 all together but ion my opinion we shouldn't have had too.
It became quite clear that this couple was very irresponsible with the amount of responsibility they brought into their home and simply couldn't afford it.
Now poor Bruno is missing a home he thought was forever, came to us skinny and smelly with scars on his leg, and so deprived of love. He hasn't left our side since. All he has done is cuddled up to us.
Granted, he had tried to mount me the first two days but since hasn't tried much now because he is familiar with me now. Which solidifies their reasoning of not wanting him was simply just an excuse.
We pray a loving, happy, responsible and experienced family steps up to give him the love he deserves. My heart aches for that poor boy, he really is the kindest most sweetest little man you'll meet, this world has just handed him all the wrong cards.
Feel free to message me if you want to know a little more about him, or any pictures etc.
Thankyou so much for reading. We hope you give Bruno the chance of a happy stable home.
Price is negotiable we just need to know he's going to the perfect home.
