Nova's ideal home

Nova started her journey at Dogs Trust as a very nervous individual, her confidence has massively increased but she is still getting used to the world around her, and therefore is looking for a home that can be a safe and secure space – this needs a private garden that she can charge around in, carefree. She feels most confident when having a furry friend by her side and therefore can live with another dog, males must be neutered, if she is the only dog in the home she would benefit from walks with other dogs. Nova cannot live with cats as she likes to chase them, any other pets will be considered. She can live with children aged 14 and over that can give her lots of love and attention. Nova loves company and can get worried when left alone for too long so will need a home with minimal leaving hours that can be built up overtime. Nova can get very worried when at the vets so will need to wear a muzzle for her checks. She has also been known to attempt escapes on walks and in the home, so will need to be kept on lead in public spaces and should not have access to the front door. Nova has been wary of strangers and can bark if spooked, so will need to be introduced to visitors slowly.

Nova is a 4-year-old Staffie cross Terrier; not only is she adorable but is an absolute angel, loving nothing more than sitting in your lap or leaning in for a cuddle. She is a very affectionate young lady but also very playful, she is obsessed with toys, especially squeaky ones that she can throw around. Nova is a sweet girl but can be shy of new things, so is looking for life to be on the quieter side.

American Bully Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a American Bulldog.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
