Bex's ideal home

Bex is looking for a family that can give her the best life with lots of love, attention and affection! Bex has a friendly disposition with other dogs and enjoys meeting them on walks, but she requires a home without other dogs to guarantee that she finds her forever home. Once a bond is built with her humans, Bex is incredibly affectionate, enjoying a good belly rub and scratch session. She is more than happy to be fussed and cuddled by her known humans but she does struggle to relax with more formal handling like vet examinations so she will need owners who will advocate for her in some situations. Any children in her home will need to be patient while she settles in, giving her time and space to build a bond. Bex is a very well behaved girl and learns very quickly. She knows lots of her basic training and is housetrained so she will need her own secure and private garden for this and for her to potter and play in. Bex loves human company, but she settles nicely when she is left on her own, ideally after a walk, and could be left for a couple of hours at a time once she has settled in to her home. She travels really well in the car, hopping in and out by herself and settling nicely for the journey. Bex will need to meet her adopters multiple times and build a strong bond prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. If you rent your property, please have written permission from your landlord ready once you have submitted your application to avoid delays, as it will be required early on in the rehoming process if you are shortlisted.

Bex is a loving, sweet, sensitive and affectionate 3 year old American Bulldog who absolutely adores her humans! Once she knows you are her person, she lavishes you will her attention and love and you become her most favourite thing in the world! She is a dream to walk on the lead and says a very happy hello to every passerby she meets, leaving everyone with a big smile on their face as she goes off to carry on her walk! Bex adores water and any chance she gets to put her face in front of the garden hose, she will take it and she loves a paddle in a river. Bex adores toys, whether they are teddies, balls, ropes… she is always up for some fun! She plays very energetically, so play time is usually relatively short because she wears herself out and needs a nap! A super girl in training, she takes tasty treats from you really gently and will sit and give her paw sweetly for a yummy reward. She has so much potential to learn more! At the end of the day, Bex loves nothing more than to settle down by your side or on the sofa for some cuddles. This gorgeous girl is simply fabulous and so well-behaved in the home and is going to make an amazing addition to a really lucky family. She is great company and will make you laugh every day with her funny personality!
