Tank
Tank's ideal home
Tank is looking for an adult only, child free home with adopters who have experience of large and boisterous bull breeds. He needs a family who understand that he has that potential for grabbing behaviours when overexcited, and who will follow the plan and advice given by the training team at the centre, in order to manage this. Ideally, his owners’ home layout would give options for Tank to have his own space when he needs to calm down for a minute or two. This is really important if he does begin to resort to any unwanted behaviours.
Could you be Tank's perfect match?
Tank is a gorgeous young lad who is so much fun, but he often can find the world a little overwhelming. He is very affectionate and playful, but gets over aroused rather easily, and his default behaviour is to grab his handlers when he feels unable to settle himself. Tank finds loud or sudden noises scary and used to find traffic really worrying too, but he’s made great progress with the help of the training team. He still finds vehicles such as bin wagons worrying, but he is much braver around general traffic now. Tank has a strong independent streak, might occasionally put the brakes on when he wants to go a different direction on walks! Luckily, he is super engaged for training and is a very quick learner. Due to his grabbing behaviour his new family will need to meet him a few times at the centre and spend a good amount of time with the training team before fully adopting him. We also recommend Tank is muzzled for his walks just in case he does get overexcited, but he’s used to this, and it doesn’t faze him one bit. He is very social and is friendly with every person and dog he meets, he just doesn’t realise that not all dogs are as bouncy and playful as him. There’s a family somewhere who are going to be very lucky indeed to make Tank a part of it.
